What is writing?

Writing is a way of expressing ones self, thoughts and views. It basically is the concept of using words to frame words and sentences to express oneself. It is not restricted to any language country or creed. Each language has its own script which is used to communicate.

Earlier in history there were no scripts and all communication and learning happened orally. As time went on basic scripts started emerging. People use basic letter and symbols to communicate with each other. As time went by these emerged into languages such as Sanskrit, Greek, Latin etc. These languages further evolved into others like French, German, English, Hindi and Tamil.

There are various types of writing. Letter writing, essay writing, story writing, novel writing are all different forms of writing.

There are various ways to write. Pens and pencils have been the traditional way of writing on a piece of paper. Now this is being replaced by typing on computers.

No matter what form or language it may be in, writing will always remain a part of our lives.

  1. Paragraphs are almost always as important for how they look as for what they say; they are maps of intent.
